[intro]How to use Disney snack credits in a fun way at Walt Disney World? Take part in a Disney crawl challenge! Using the Disney Springs shops and getting some yummy Disney chocolate is one way to get the best snacks at Disney world![/intro]
Disney snack credits
When you have a vacation planned at Walt Disney World, most of the time you get a Disney dining plan. One problem with the Disney dining plan is you get a lot of Disney snack credits.
On the last day of your vacation your scrambling trying to use up all those Disney snack credits. What if you could use those snack credits in a fun way?
Disney Springs
Like I explained in the Magic Kingdom Ice Cream Crawl, you can do a themed Disney food crawl using your snack credits. For this crawl challenge, I decided to focus on chocolate at Disney Springs.
Disney Springs is the shopping and dining complex at Walt Disney World. The best thing about Disney Springs is anyone can go to this and it is free to enter. That is right, you do not have to Walt Disney World guest to visit Disney Springs.
Disney Springs shops
Everyone loves chocolate, so why not go to the Disney Springs shops and find some yummy Disney chocolate! After all, anything chocolate is the best snacks at Disney World, right?
For this chocolate crawl, there are 4 Disney Springs shops to visit to get some amazing chocolate at:
- Candy Cauldron
- The Ganachery
- Goofy’s Candy Co
- Amorette’s Patisserie
There are a few other stops you could substitute in the pursuit of Disney chocolate like:
- AristoCrêpes
- Disney Food Trucks
- Erin McKenna’s Bakery NYC
- Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop
- Häagen-Dazs® Kiosk
- Sprinkles
- Sunshine Churros
- Vivoli il Gelato
Not all the places in Disney Springs take Disney snack credits. So keep that in mind when you go on the hunt for some yummy chocolate. The 4 Disney Springs shops I choose is a mix of Disney dining credits and cash.
The first stop on the chocolate crawl was Candy Cauldron. Candy Cauldron and Goofy’s Candy Co are very similar in products. What makes Candy Cauldron as a chocolate destination is the chocolate apples they have inside.
I decided since this was the first stop on the Disney chocolate crawl not to get one the famed chocolate apples. I decided to go with a peanut butter chocolate fudge! This thick-cut piece of chocolate fudge with peanut butter was the perfect start to this chocolate-loving Disney crawl.
The next stop on this Disney Springs crawl was The Ganchery. I do admit this chocolate stop was my favorite to visit. Not only did I watch them make my House-made Smore, I think The Ganchery has the best chocolate on any Disney property!
The Smore I got is seasonal and is super amazing. Here you can watch it being made:
The Ganchery is one of the places that do not take the Disney Dining plan. But trust me, this is the one place on this crawl you must do! The rest of the Disney Springs shops can be easily substituted. Trust me The Ganchery is one place you must not substitute!
Two chocolate stops down, 2 to go. On this chocolate crawl, you can get items that you do not have to eat right then and there. The House-made S’more, I did eat right away. However, the fudge, I brought home to enjoy the next day. That is what makes this crawl an adventure, do you eat the chocolate now or do you wait until later?
The third stop on the chocolate tour of Disney Springs is Goofy’s Candy Co. Like I mentioned earlier in Candy Cauldron, the chocolate items found here are the same in both locations.
After a bit of thought, I wasn’t in the mood for a chocolate apple. The chocolate calling my name was the chocolate pecan roll they had in the bakery case at Goofy’s Candy Co.
Finally off to the last stop on this Disney chocolate challenge, Amorette’s Patisserie. I will admit Amorette’s Patisserie is my favorite shop in Disney Springs. I love getting petite cakes in there.
Like The Ganchery, Amorette’s Patisserie does not take Dinsye snack credits. Even if you do not get anything chocolate in this store in Disney Springs, you should stop in to see the beautiful dome cakes they make there.
For my last selection, I will admit it was too pretty to eat. I choose the chocolate mousse rose. It looked beautiful in the case. Did it taste good? Well, it was amazing! It is richer in chocolate but it was wonderful.
Using snack credits in a fun way to enjoy Disney Springs! Take part in this Disney crawl challenge for Disney chocolate around the Disney Springs shops.
